New Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia is Now Open
The new facility is situated 6 miles from the Brooklawn Shopping Center. The new Live! Casino & Hotel is worth $700 Million. It is located next to Stadium Holiday Inn, which was demolished for the purposes of the new facility.
Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia was developed by a private company held by Cordish, that also owns Xfinity Live complex.
The new facility is supposed to benefit the city by bringing $2 billion in economic stimulus, $100 million to Philadelphia tax revenues in the first 5 years and $25 million to the school district.
As part of the license approval process, the brand committed to opening job opportunities for many people that would earn at least $12 an hour. The permanent jobs available are 2,000.
The Casino represents a 510,000-square-foot property with gaming hall, hotel, dining and entertainment. The whole facility has 208 rooms in the hotel part, thousands of slot machines and over 100 tables in the casino part, as well as a massive dedicated poker room, FanDuel Sports Book, high limit rooms.
The guests can enjoy quality dining options in the multiple restaurants, which include The Prime Rib, Sports & Social Philly, Luk Fu, and 10th St Market, as well as more casual places such as Lorenzo and Sons Pizza, Sang Kee Noodle Bar, Morty’s Deli, Luckie’s Liquor and others.
The mandatory restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, called for creative thinking when it came to interior measures. In the new facility, all table games have been fitted with protective glass.
There is a new slot machine “Reel Clear” feature, which locks out the machines next to a player when they start playing. Ones they are done, the machine shuts down so that the staff can sanitize it.
The air is turned over twelve times an hour to make sure the environment is clear and the customers are fully protected.
Earlier this month, the Live! brand announced the opening days for the new facility. January 19 was set as an opening day for exclusive Live! Reward Club members. The general public can visit the new location on February 11.
The Executive Vice President of Cordish Gaming Group, Joe Billhimer called the new location a unique place, because it gathered all sports fans, foodies, gaming enthusiasts and everyone else, who is looking for fun and excitement at one place.
